Kenya Premier League Player of the Month winners will receive bigger television sets in the 2017 season, on wards.
In last season’s awards, LG Electronics used to provide a 43 inch TV set to the winner but they have improved and will now give out a 49 inch TV set.
Besides a TV set the player will have a chance to choose a charity event within his locality that will be supported by LG and its staff.
LG marketing manager Moses Marji said that the company is has introduced the CSR activities since they are important to the community.
-We are keen on the CSR aspect as much as the awards because the community is very important, he said.
Sports Journalists Association of Kenya President Chris Mbai lauded the company for its generosity, adding that their contribution has helped the local league grow.
-We have seen the excitement in our league grow with these monthly awards and it is due to generosity of supportive companies like LG, he remarked.
LG used to award the winners with a 42 inch television set in 2015 and later improved the size of TV sets to 43 inches last season.
The player of the month winner also pockets Sh100000.
